A bulk, cut, recomp, or maintenance phase each demands different volume, progression, and recovery targets. Set the objective; the engine adjusts the prescription to match it.
Too few hard sets and you leave growth unclaimed; too many and the session costs more recovery than it returns. The productive range moves with your experience, sleep, stress, and the week's accumulated fatigue.
Calyber starts each muscle at its minimum effective volume and adds a set only while your logged performance and recovery support it, and pulls back when fatigue outpaces adaptation. You don't count sets or chase volume targets.
